Supporting Better Health

Loyce who is living with HIV was rapidly losing weight when she discovered malnutrition was the problem.  After she received counselling from Isaac Buzaaka, the Buikwe HIV district coordinator, she was started on RUTAFA (RUTAFA, a native name celebrating life – the RECO Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Foods (RUTF) brand).

All smiles when she talks about how that treatment saved both her and her daughter who was also later started on RUTAFA. She feels good and she knows it shows, “Even if I don’t tell, you can just look at me and see.”

Loyce is now a volunteer at the hospital.
